A fascinating publication - and, at the time, 1948, no expense spared as this was printed by the Baynard Press. It may seem odd to find a water heater company produce such a tome but in post-war Britain the housing shortage meant that many larger houses were being sub-divided into smaller flats - and Ascot saw this as a major market for their small scale domestic products that could easily assist providing heating solutions with no major structural changes.
A nice touch is Mr Therm - the Eric Fraser invention for the London Gas Light & Coke Company who had by this time been adopted by the wider gas industry - and he's seen here beckoning you into the warmer, Ascot-ted home!
